While TIME declared 2011 the “Year of the Protester,” many would argue that it was the year of Steve Jobs. I’m not an Apple fanboy. I’ve never owned an iPod, an iPhone or an iPad. But I can’t deny the contributions these technologies have made to the way I live, work and play, because they’ve had an influence on many, many successive and adaptive innovations.
