The Solution for Budget Busted State Parks – Corporate Sponsors

Alright, this story is terrific… and since this was the first I’d heard of it, highly under reported. AdAge reports that nature-oriented brands are turning increasingly towards funding programs for US state parks. Not only do the brands get prime bang for their ad dollars, they’re building immeasurable goodwill with their consumers. And even if consumers see right through the sponsorship, should they really care? For cash strapped state parks – many of which have had to limit services and even close their doors in recent years – it’s a win-win. And I’m sure if all goes well, these sponsorships will last even after state governments right their ships.
